Happy new beats

Episode 604

How was 2021 to you? For me, it held quite a pile of surprises on its menu, negative as well as positive. While this is simply life happening, one thing stays steady with me and also acts as a kind of pillar for me: syndae. It is does act as both a compass and a vent, giving me the opportunity to reflect my emotional state as well as give something to you, whenever you like to listen and experience music from other places. Hope we will meet again, in sound at least, next year. Until then, enjoy the past being pushed out with rolling drums. Thus, tonight with dancable music by Sven Phalanx (Klangtherapie Remixes), Maralewo (Obmonac), VOSM (Modular Cuisine), Bassoniq (Ringworld), Stan Dart (MurInsel Vol. 4), Dayflight (Raumzeit Festival Digital), Joao Ceser (Orto.Brz), ELEON (Cafe Chill), Bit Cloudy (Energy Giant), TNT (Midnightradio Compilation 108), Sepslow (Faryar).

Happy Chillmas

Episode 602

Wow, what a crazy final working week. Oh, yes, I am on vacation from next week on. Only, like I am now working in home office, I will also do vacation in home office. But that's fine, as I do not go and see sea or climb hills or strive a forest, I simply need some rest. How about you? What will you be doing the next two weeks? Still working? Going on a journey? Whatever you plan, syndae will be there with you with no pause at all. As a closer for this years working season (at least for me) this will be a final chill out edition for 2021. Well, 2021 also needs to chill out and hopefully 2022 will be a bit "more normal" again. We will see. For tonight, enjoy some quality sounds by Nicholas Gunn (Beautiful Mind), Anna B May, Xavion (A Brand New Day), KUBA (Analogue Sympathy), Eagle (Synth. Music) (Rogue Planet), Suriya (Raumzeit Festival Digital), Ivan Black (The Wounded Angel), Valentich (Martin Christie Presents Electronic Music Travels), Nattefrost (When Every Cage is Empty), Stan Dart.

The redundant interview

Episode 601

Being an all-time fan of electronic sounds and music, and actively experimenting himself since the late 1980s, in tonight's special edition of syndae you will get an interview with Berlin artist Bernhard Wöstheinrich, also known as The Redundant Rocker and his collaboration with Markus Reuter as centrozoon. His music has been with syndae since the beginning. And with the release of issue 50 of his Materiaal series right to this date, it is time for an interview with this multi talent. Besides some insights and information about his work, you will get related music tonight with tracks by centrozoon (eisprung), Bernhard Wöstheinrich (Studio Session 20210730), Bernhard Wöstheinrich & Tim Motzer (Live at Radio RSD), TaboTago (Sessions 007 / Shifting Heads), Popol Vuh (Affenstunde).

Check these sounds, mate!

Episode 600

Wow! Is it 600 already? What a journey. Who would have thought the podcast would last that long back in the days? No big deal this time, though. Just the realization of an idea I carried along for quite some time. A special with music from soundtracks. But, of course, not that I pick my favourite movie composers for syndae. And there are quite some great ones, like John Williams, Howard Shore, Tan Dun, Blake Neely, Michael Nyman, and many more. No, with exception of the first, all of them have their roots in electronic music. So go on and pick your movie position and listen in to great tracks by Hans Zimmer & Steve Mazzaro (Army of Thieves), Thorsten Quaeschning (Cargo), Thilo Rex (The Dominoe Principle), Klaus Schulze (Angst), Christopher Franke (Babylon 5 Vol. 1), Vangelis (Blade Runner), Tangerine Dream (Great Wall of China), Michael Stearns (Baraka), Paul Haslinger (Underworld), Jean-Michel Jarre (Oxygène).
