Fetching trophys

Episode 614

We have all the winners on tonight's edition. That is all those who won the Schallwelle award for 2021, for which the ceremonies took place last week. It was a wonderful evening with many visitors, and a great time to see many people again for the first time since two or three years. And also the chance to meet some I never met in real life before. Of course, the main reason was to celebrate electronic music especially from Germany and our neighbours. With three concerts being given by Tonal Assembly, Stan Dart, and Hhnoi. And here comes music by all the awardees plus one with Joerg Dankert (Restore faith), Suriya, Schiller (Summer in Berlin), Unisphere (TempUs), Hinterland (Codes of the Biosphere), Tangerine Dream (Raum), Kebu (Urban Dreams), Stefan Erbe (Distopia).

Dark times in sight

Episode 612

These are terrible days. I usually refrain from political topics on my podcast page, but what is happening in the Ukraine makes me sad and angry. I hope most of you guys are safe out there and will get out of any trouble. And I believe that most people in Russia do not support the actions of that dictator regime going to war with anyone. Well, I hope you all will be safe as well. It's a pity tonight's edition gets tainted by these actions. There is great music inside, beatful of course, as I need some beating sounds for some reason. Stay safe and have a thoughtful listen with music Markus Masuhr (Haze In The Abyss At Night), Morgen Wurde & Tis (Wacht), Piece Of Acid (Der Grosse Knall Remixes), W-litio (Vortex), TNT (Midnightradio Compilation 110), Mesopotam, Andrew Haines (Wayward Sketches of a Manual Labourer), Vodor L Zeck (Landsberg Dist), Toxic Derwish (Happy Birthday Mister Camembert!).

Sound for speed

Episode 611

What an interesting week. Storms everywhere, although I have been lucky to date with respect to effects. At least weather wise. Same holds for the job though, where it got quite stormy this week and more strong winds are ahead. Great, if you own a sailer. Well, after some rather quite minutes on the last episode, tonight you will get a bit more speed in sound with new, current and upcoming releases. Join in and listen to fantastic music by Roberto Sass (Psyche), Stefan Erbe (Distopia), Synth Replicants (Midnightradio Compilation 110), Stan Dart (Electronic), Ivan Black (Fancy Gitter 2), Dolphins of Venice (Mutuals), Nattefrost (Dendrophile), illocanblo (Habitat), Garrett Lechowski (Midnightradio Compilation 110), Brainwork (Late in Berlin).

Music for gods

Episode 610

When I was in school, history lessons where of the least interesting to me. Was it the teachers? Was it the stuff? However, nowadays history fascinates me. Especially if presented well and understandable and giving some context to why things have become as they are. One of the mysterious eras definitely is the age of the Aztecs and their world of gods. Well, actually any of the native American civilizations are fascinating and seem much more cultivated than many of those from Europe in that time. So you will find the first half of this edition focuses on Aztec Gods with music by Wane of Summer, Progeny-1, Talking to Ghosts, Roberto Sass, and Ambient Indigo (Aztec Gods). This is followed by several great new and recent releases by Andreas Davids & Sven Phalanx (Space Ambient Pop), Craig Padilla & Marvin Allen (35), Steve Roach (Zones, Drones & Atmospheres), Wellengärtner (Do Bumblebees Dream?).
