Some people might say that ambient music is made for the background, to accompany something more important or to simply fill a gap in the environment to serve as acoustic noise. It's definitely not so. Ambient needs ones full attention, to have the right experience of its richness and beauty. It's OK to ignore it, if one has no interest. But you will miss a lot doing so. For me, seriously listening to ambient music is an amazing source for creating many kinds of images in my head, and emotional strong ones. An important detail is to let the music sink into your mind and stop chewing that damn potatoe chips. It may not work everytime or for everyone. So I hope, some of the music of tonight's show will reach you guys out there. And I am fully aware, that me talking over the tracks might disrupt doing so. But, hey, go on and fetch the releases presented and relish them in their wholeness. Are you on facebook? Well, this question might sound a bit awkward if you are reading this in the syndae group. But maybe you are reading it in some forum or on syndae's homepage. Now, are you? Do you also spend so much time for nothing but checking the stream for interesting posts? I do, and each time I tell myself, it's mostly wasted. On the other hand, I have quite a lot of cool musicians as contact (or friends as fb calls it) who inspire me to continue running my podcast. While the social media surely has its shortcomings, there is always someone that is worth staying. And I can tell you, it is worth listening in to tonight's edition of the show as well. Actually, as always, but each time it's great fun for me to present some really outstanding works, like the tracks this time which are by Bacila & Senex (Midnight Radio Compilation 81), Visible Silence (Into the Deep), keiss (TEMS. Point: Beshtau), Stan Dart (Ecclesia), Telemecanique (Meetings), and Hollmspeed (I am Like Not Real).

So I recently started to watch one of those criminal drama series, Bosch, that I liked quite instantly. It may not have the most inventive story, which still is good though, but it features characters. To me, that is one major advantage and very important as stories nowadays may vary but seldomly are really new. One of the reasons Babylon 5 was so successful, if you ask me. Now. Besides in TV shows, characters also are important in music. Artist wise as well as musical wise. If a track has no character of its own, it sounds dull. Hence, when you hear music on syndae, whatever the style, there is something of character in it. At least to my ears. Even if the music itself is not my cup of coffee, if it sounds interesting enough it might end up on one of the episodes. Well, for tonight I can say that all of the tracks are very much to my likings. And I hope you will enjoy them, too. What a sweat. So I have been two weeks on the German's most beloved island, Mallorca, living right up some hill (!). And, yes, it was an amazing view from our apartment over the whole harbour area. But going up was quite steep and of course the temperatures being high, well, I don't know how stupid a man can be, but I'm sure I made it quite to the top of the list. Does it make you wonder I did need a vacation after the vacation and simply wasn't able to produce a new show? Ok, enough whining. Back to the most beautiful hobby in the world: electronic music.
