Yes, the die is cast. This is the very first edition of syndae that is streaming only. I hope you are still enjoying the show. Do you know the term filter bubble? It's quite a phenomenon of modern times. Not only do you build your social environment with people you have lots in common. But modern technology, like search engines and social media, analyse you and your preferences. This way, mostly things are brought to your attention, which you like and which correspond to your views. It's nearly impossible to escape your own bubble nowadays, especially with artificial intelligence being everywhere for your benefit. Quite astounding. So, if you want to know of things outside your filter bubble, to get to know different views, always be open to others and other opinions. Oh, do not mistake this as a call to "wake up". Not every statement counts as an opinion. As well as science not being a question of believe. But I am trailing off. Tonight's edition is one of those to break your bubble. Namely the one of your listening habits. Many artists published music that day, not all of them suitable for syndae. Last week we had the quiet ones. This time, it's the rhythmic edition with excellent tracks by D_Smoker (Hot Trax), Olympic (Pequeño Cosmos), Jack_Plug (Rehacer), pl8 (Special Tape Compilation), SMOK (Brain Damage), Terranigma (Access Frame: Equity).

Some of you might have read about the dilemma for syndae regarding music licensed via the rights collective GEMA. They changed the license in a way that I can no longer have music on the show that is licensed by many such organizations all around the globe. This includes some well known artists in electronic music. I am still looking for a solution to this, as it would be a pity for the show, the artists and you as listener. Maybe there is no solution? Well, I am open for suggestions. So let me know, if you have an idea how to handle this issue. Tonight's edition is save, though. All the music is by independent artists who publish their music via netlabels. Yes. It's the first about the Netlabel Day. To calm down from the licensing shock, I chose rather ambient tracks. But, you know, even ambient is quite diverse. Where do we come from? Where do we go? What is our purpose? Some questions often asked and maybe answered, especially in philosophical and religous views. To me, this question is a difficult one. If it is the right question at all to be asked. Maybe there will be some mighty artificial intelligence one day, whom the question is given. It may take some million years to get a response, and then it might come clear that the question was wrong and the answer is of no use. Ok, ok, one might see the reference here. But AI can do amazing things right today. Well, and may be used for shenanigans. Like an music creating algorithm. Would that be actual electronic music then? I am currently stuck in home office. Which is nice, as I save an about one hour daily drive to work. But I just realized that I listen to at least one hour less music each day now. Actually, in the past weeks, there is not so much music in my life, if it weren't for compiling a podcast. I assume that I am not the only one, as many people stay more at home now and especially music parties or events simply do not happen at the moment. What are all these DJs doing currently? Switching to Vidcasting? Well, as said, luckily there is syndae. So I have to take some time off to listen to music. The force is strong on this one. Weekend. Time to celebrate or simply turn the world off for a while and simply enjoy the silence. On this edition you will meet the latter with excellent ambient sounds and rides. Actually, one of the most serene editions for a long time. And with all those strange things happening around the world in these times, I'd say that taking some time off and getting lost in ones own mind is a great alternative. Well, ok, I do talk.
