I need a chill! It's only May, but temperature's are reaching 30 C and above already. I hope you are with me on this chillout ride. I'd guess, several of those political jerks out there could need a chill and stop being jerks. Not going to happen? You might be right about that.

If there is one instrument for electronic music that is cult, this is it: The Roland TR-808. The percussive foundation for many styles, starting with Electro, Hip-Hop, House, and also diving hard into popular music as well. So, here is an hommage to the legend in drum sounds with show number 808. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions on songs, especially via social channels. I cannot guarantee, all the tracks use the original TR-808, but its the spirit, right? Well, join in for some really cool tracks from, I think, artists never heard on syndae before.

Sometimes, plans change. As did the one for tonight, as of some sad news coming in this week, which is the passing of Ronald Schmidt aka Faber. Such news do not pass one without passion, and the mood of the show did not match my own at all. But it is still a phenomenal show at that, having many great artsts and beautiful sounds to relish.

We are back in the world of glamour with this edition, where we have quite a number of film music, that is the sound of movies and tv series, which I love so much. And I hope you will, too. Of course, spiced with some well known names for the electronic music scene, who also have great cinematic soundscapes on their plate.

So, we've been to a nice littel ice cream parlour today and enjoyed the food, sitting in and relishing the summerly weather. Besides ice cream, they also serve several variations on filled doughnuts. The ones with the hole in the middle (just to not confuse them with "Berliner" pancakes, which are also filled, but have no hole). The really looked like tiny cakes rather than doughnuts. And, of course, we could not resist to fetch some with cream and fruits and chocolate bits.

Now, what is it that made me feel a little bit easier this week? Maybe it's the Spring-view with all its green and yellow colours. And it is slightly getting warmer and sunnier over here. I am feeling quite positive these days, except for that screaming pink car outside, which blinds my eyes. Being in such a mood, of course the selection of music for tonight's edition follows the lighter weight of life.

When I was young, it was quite difficult to get hold of instrumental music by itself, well, maybe except for classical music. The electronic music albums were sparsely sold and, of course, I did not have the money back then. What was great, though, that most of the singles one could purchase in those days contained the instrumental version of the song on its B-sides. Escpeially great with maxi singles, which were the 45 rpm long-player-sized singles with extras. Weird days, looking back from the current view on always available streamable music.

So humans are back to the moon, or at least "going around" the moon. Is this the start of space businesses? Will we soon see adventures to colonize the moon or finally go for Mars (to save Mark Watney, of course)? Who knows? But the vast and mostly empty universe always is a fascinating place to dream about. So much so, that I will start a new chapter for syndae having some really ambient ambient on the show. Not quite drone like, but close. There are some cool artists out there providing music to discover sounds so dense and wide in conjunction, which makes you feel wonders.

What a tiring week this was. I had to travel to doctor appointments a number of times, which, especially with buses, seem to take ages. Not to mention the long waiting times at the doctor's. Well, at least I am lucky to have some healthcare at my living space, while some places do not or gete stripped of the ability to afford it. Some small issues with my vision and my voice, which you might probably hear in this edition, added to it. And what better to enjoy, when being worn off from a busy week, than groovy and chilly music.
