Happy 2011 everybody! As a startup to this year, a tiny focus on the upcoming Schallwelle awards and this year's winner of the lifework's prize, Klaus Schulze. The Schallwelle is the German award for electronic music and will be given in 6 categories. Moreover, it's open for voting to the public, so cast your votes now. Complementary to Klaus, two tracks by admirers of the 70s close tonight's show, composed and produced one by Arroniz and Joost Egelie each.
It's the time of the year again, where many people celebrate the religious happening named christmas and the step over into another year. As in the past two years, syndae has a special episode on christmas, presenting own compositions and interpretations of seasonal songs by EM artists especially composed or selected for this show. This time, an episode in two editions. Having about one hour music in the family edition, which surely is a nice play for a contemplative time with family and friends. Accompanied by a mature edition of more than 30 minutes, obviously not to be given to those of sensitive nature. Overall, a lot of exceptional tracks kindly contributed by Alien Nature, Brainwork, Erik Seifert, F.D.Project, Gert Emmens & Cadenced Haven, Glenn Main, Guido Negraszus, Intelligentsia, Mari Aura (by Xenoton), Matzumi, moonbooter, Nadim Haque, Paul Nagle, Rüdiger Gleisberg, Synth.nl, The Great Schizm, and TMA.
Time to close 2010. But before going over to the holy time, we go for some cool new stuff being released in the final month of this year. Volume 1 of tonight's episode starts with rather progressive electronica, enjoy a show with tracks by Axess, Brainwork, Going after Zen, Nattefrost, Projekt Gamma & Erich Schauder, Steen Jorgensen, and Stefan Erbe.
To the end of the year in volume 2 we visit the darker and more experimental areas of electronic music. Especially well suited to expand ones own fantastic mental worlds. Therefore, have a wonderful nightly fun with this episode and tracks by Apectee, Bernhard Wöstheinrich, Gliese 614, Martin Lowack, Nunun, and We are Creosote.
It's always a pleasure to have musical heros on the show, and tonight is one such show. I welcome Erik Seifert as interview guest on this episode, giving you insight information on the man, what drives him, and details about his music.
