• Throwback sound day

    This is an excerptional show you will find tonight, as it is edition 80-0 of syndae, which will feature a look back at the beginnings of electronic music as we share our love in. Right, back in those golden ages for EM some ingenious people started experimenting with electronic equipment and the like to invent a new style in sound and music, and lay the foundation for many more and, admittedly, more popular styles we (in parts have to) listen to these modern days. There might be an alternative universe out there not having these geniuses at work, well, they would miss out on great stuff. Join me for a tiny celebration and time travel with the music by Klaus Schulze (Timewind), Jean-Michel Jarre (Les Chants Magnétiques), Kraftwerk (Minimum - Maximum), Tangerine Dream (Ricochet (Live)), Manuel Göttsching (E2-E4).

It was a great evening in Hagen last week, where I had the opportunity to present my syndae anniversary album The Sound of Syndae. I admit, it was a small event, but it was a very fine event. And, of course, Stefan Erbe gave an extraordinary concert in that cosy room, with an enthusiastic audience. I know, I know, it was mainly about the concert and just a tiny bit about my CD. A microscopically small step for mankind, but a giant leap for me. He he. Well, next event in line is the Electronic Circus, which I mentioned last week already. But I have more musical treats of that event for you tonight by Thorsten Quaeschning (Cargo) and Harald Grosskopf (Synthesist Reloaded). Moreover, there is new and noteworthy music on this show by Dr. Lum (Ethnostep 8), Uwe Reckzeh (Surreal Dreams), Biodiode (Mars Chronicles), Klangzaun.

syndae is an independent podcast on electronic music of ambient, space, new age, harmonic, traditional, progressive, and rhythmic style, not directly including electronic dance music. The goal of syndae is to make aware of fine electronic music, by providing enjoyable episodes with well known and not yet well known artists from around the world, and to promote events of the electronic music scene, by dedicating episodes to selected artists of such an event. Host of the show is Stefan, an enthusiast of electronic music, who likes to spread the word and sound of synth.
