Finally the Northern Hemisphere is walking towards Spring, and we already had temperatures of 10 degrees. Time to do a show that has some light and fresh music. Not only that, we have quite a bunch of new releases to present. And moreover, the next electronic music event is coming up: Satzvey Castle, the event on Berlin School music. Well, I hope you will have fun with tonight's episode, serving tracks by BatteryDead, Grauglanz, moonbooter, Tangram, and Vate.

Last week, I presented some of the artists nominated for Schallwelle awards. Of course, there are more. And tonight we have some really big names. Concert appearances and releases made them go for the awards, and many followers took the chance to cast their vote. So here we are with tracks by nominated artists and from nominated albums, on tonight's playlist are Eric van der Heijden, Glenn Main Henriksen, Johannes Schmoelling, Loom, Picture Palace music, Ron Boots, and Tangerine Dream.

The year 2011 was quite a good one wrt. electronic music. Lots of great festivals, concerts and album releases to celebrate. And that's exactly the purpose of the Schallwelle Awards being held in March in Bochum. On tonight's edition, some of the artists nominated will give their reprise. Including the brand new album by F.D.Project and some of the best of last year, like those by Matzumi, Pyramid Peak, Synth.nl, and Uwe Reckzeh.

Charming music on tonight's show, just in between being nice and being chilling. It of course is beautiful soundscaping and slightly driving rhythm giving that will make you feel comfortable with the world. Let me take you on a calm and easing ride with tracks by Bernd Scholl, Claudio Merlini, Crystal Dreams, Phillip Wilkerson, Radium88, and The Pels Syndicate.

So the January has already gone and we're on fast feet moving towards the Schallwelle prize-giving. You should check the website for available tickets, as they are selling quickly this year. And now that the votings are closed for 2012, it's time to catch up with some releases of the latest month. Tonight it's all about ambient music, and of course we have some of the finest on this episode. Tonight I have tracks from the laureates of the special awards given to individuals who rendered outstanding services in electronic music, Johannes Schmoelling and Uwe Saher (Brainwork). And, of course, new enigmatic releases are on the menu as well, this time with tracks by Carboneids, Global Express OSC, and Weldroid.
